Crossover Blendery is a micro beer producer focused on spontaneous fermentation and the ageing of beer in alternative vessels (oak barrels, concrete eggs & terracotta pots).

George and Charlie became fascinated by barrel-aged beer styles 10 years prior. A friend’s father gave them a Lambic beer from Belgium which is also created from spontaneous fermentation, relying solely on indigenous yeast/bacteria of the area. After trying it they became fixated with the complexity of these beverages.

Their barn at the Grainworks now houses 115 barrels which were filled during the 19/20 brewing season. These will continue to ferment and mature until deemed ready to be blended. British grains and fruit will play an integral part in making these beers and is something they are incredibly excited to work with going forward.

Most of Crossover’s beers will spend anywhere from 6 months to 3+ years in barrels before they package them. Every bottle is naturally conditioned and will continue to age and mature in the bottle.
